St. Augustine’s College from Cape Coast – Ghana has emerged the winner in the just ended 2019 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz normally abbreviated as NSMQ. The competition which has been the recent talk of town among Ghanaian citizens just had its curtains closed.

The competition has been in the trend for quite sometime and if finally rallied to its Grand Finale with three schools competing against each other. The schools that participated in the Finale were; St. Augustines Collecge (AUGUSCO), St. Peter’s SHS (PERSCO), and Presbyterian Boy’s Senior High School (PRESEC-LEGON). Quite suprisingly, they all happen to be boys school.

St. Augustine’s College popularly known as AUGUSCO emerged the winner of the competition with an outstanding performance.

The school won the contest with 39 points and beating their contenders, Presec Legon with 34 points and St. Peter’s with 25 points.

As part of the congratulatory message and benefits associated with the victory in this contest, the school was awarded with cash and scholarships among others.

The competition was ferocious between AUGUSCO and PRESEC especially during the fourth and last round. But they strive through and emerged the winner of this competition.
